Robert B. Youngblood is an Emeritus Associate Professor of German and Italian from Washington and Lee University in Lexington Virginia where he taught modern Italian literature and intermediate and advanced language courses. He has conducted Study Abroad courses in Germany and Italy. On German writers he has published articles on Frisch, and Schiller; on Italian authors, he has published articles on Bacchelli, Carducci, Fo, Ginsburg, and Tabucchi and, recently, translations and commentaries of poems by Dino Campana in the UK Universities’ online Journal of Modern Italian Poetry. A regular presenter at language conventions, he has taught segments of language and methodology courses at the Catholic University of Milan and the Urbania (the Vatican’s) University in Rome. A linguistic article on a solution to the problem of Italian nouns ending in e is appearing in no. 4, volume 12 of the journal “Mosaic.”
